Fall is in the air...

It is hard to believe that summer is over and fall is in the air! I am looking forward to Indian Summer, the warm days before yet another harsh Wyoming winter. We have already had some snow, closed roads and lots of complaining. I am trying to find a reason to celebrate winter... have any suggestions?

Since I am no longer working, don't HAVE to get out and drive in the wintry weather crap, I can sit in my house and watch the snow fall, thinking all the while, how beautiful that looks. That is, until the snowfall ends and the plowing, melting, dragging in the slop from outside into the house begins. That plus winter brings Christmas, New Year's, Valentine's Day -a few little brighteners maybe, for you. Or, it is nature's time to sleep, to rest up to bring forth another beautiful budding, blooming, blossoming spring and summer, followed by a time of harvest of the produce come next fall. That's the best I can offer about what to like, to look forward to, with winter nipping at our heels -already!

perhaps because it is the natural part of the seasons and we dont have to celebrate everything...just accept and live through it?

Every winter day is another day closer to spring.
