And the beat goes on......
When the carpet was removed, there was an obvious leak behind the wall of the utility room.
Preparing to lay the vinyl... kitchen before new flooring.
First bathroom with the toilet and flooring removed....
OOOPS! We found mold and floor damage in the master bath. All work stopped in here until I hear from the insurance adjuster. Hopefully soon, there will be photos of the finished project.

Update: My home insurance doesn't cover leakage so I will have to pay for this renovation myself. Now, I need to find a contractor that is willing to demolish the shower stall (tile) remove the shower liner, repair the damage behind and the wall in the picture then replace with a new shower and replace the sub-flooring and everything else that has been damaged. UGH! I have found that in this town of a booming economy and literally hundreds of houses and apartments being built, there are hundreds of contractors but all of the reputable ones are busy for at least another year. Everyone else I know is going to be gone hunting. I have no idea when this project is going to be completed and it is driving me Crazy! lol Chin up ol Girl!

A few months from now ~ hopefully :) you will look back on all this and smile. You are probably smiling now because I sense you have a positive outlook! My husband is in the construction business so I have many unfinsihed projects at my home. You know the old saying ~ 'The shoemaker's kids go barefoot.' I can relate! Enjoy your day!

I can so relate! Our lake place has been an ongoing 5 year work in progress project.
Being in the 'do it yourself' mode,,,it becomes slower as we discover new problems that lead to more work, just as you've said.
But as you know, it all WILL work out, but I do so understand your frustration meanwhile.
Such a shame your ins. didn't cover the leak!!
Hugs and best wishes!
(and yes, miracles!)
