Moondance Diner
Today, Gary and I decided to take a drive out in the middle of nowhere to LaBarge, WY, population 310, to eat lunch. Why in the land of sanity would we drive out to this sparsely populated place to eat, you might ask? The answer is simple, we heard that the Moondance Diner was open. This diner originated in New York City and was trucked to LaBarge, over a year ago. They officially opened January 12, 2009.
If you want to go to the Moondance Diner website, here is the link: http://www.historicmoondancediner.com/. If you are ever in the neighborhood of LaBarge, I recommend you try this diner.
Have a good weekend everyone!
Jo

Gary had the french dip and I had the chili burger; there was so much that we had to bring some home. Gary also had a yummy strawberry shake that he was forced to share!
Gary even talked to people he knew from Mt. View who drove up to LaBarge for the same reason!
The visitor's boook was full of signatures from people all over.

I love to go out to the countryside. And diners are great places to eat.

What a cute place. And I love diners!
We have a new one in a little village near here, at the train station in Lamy. Yes, it's in a train car too. It's purportedly doing a great business.

How fun! I think it is really a neat way to spend some time together. There is a place over this way that I know of that makes me smile like that too. It is a tiny little 6 table place in Otis, Oregon on the way to the beach. Though it is small and has odd hours, people stand outside for hours waiting for a table and a chance to enjoy the homestyle cooking.
Blessings to you today.
